In Loving Memory of Sheri Lynn Chabrier-Simonds (Woodbeck)

 Sheri Lynn Chabrier-Simonds, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at the age of 54, after a courageous battle with metastatic colon cancer. Born on January 14, 1972, Sheri was a lifelong resident of Ilion, New York, where she built a life centered on love, family, and compassion. Sheri was the beloved daughter of Pamela Woodbeck and the late Alton Woodbeck. She was a devoted mother to Anthony J. Chabrier, Anyssa M. Chabrier, Amelio L. Chabrier, and Janiya V.R. Macrina, each of whom she loved with all her heart. Sheri is also survived by her brother Steven and Colleen Woodbeck and their kids Andrew, Conner and Larissa , brother Christopher and Angela Woodbeck and their kids Ryan and Madelynn, brother Jeremy and Paola Woodbeck and their kids JuanSe, Juan Gabriel, and Lucas. We would also like to say a special thanks to her aunts for sticking by her side while she was in the hospital and through her whole sickness. Nothing brought Sheri more joy than being “Grandma.” Her grandchildren—Willow, Estelle, Geovani, Gemina, Ny’asiah , and Benjamé —were the light of her life and the center of her world. She treasured every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and warmth that they will carry with them forever. Sheri dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. When she had the chance, she loved roller skating with her friends, enjoying every opportunity to laugh, have fun, and make lasting memories. Sheri was a woman whose heart knew no limits. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need without expecting anything in return. Her kindness, generosity, and selflessness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Even through the difficult journey of fighting colon cancer, Sheri faced each day with incredible strength, resilience, and love for those around her. Although her passing leaves an immeasurable void, Sheri’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished so deeply and in the countless lives she touched with her compassion and unwavering love. She will be remembered not only for the battles she fought, but for the love she freely gave, the smiles she shared, and the beautiful example of selflessness she set for all who knew her. Sheri will be deeply missed and forever loved. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her. The family would like to thank those that helped care for Sheri these past few months including, the nurses at Little Falls Hospital, The Abraham House of Utica, and Hospice and Palliative Care of New York.
