Stephen Andrew Korce, age 70, of Little Falls, formally of south Fl, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. Stephen was the 2nd oldest of 7. The first sibling to pass of his 4 brothers and 2 sisters. In September of 2023 Stephen was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He was told he possibly only had 6 months left to live. He beat the odds and made it almost 3 years after his original diagnosis. This picture is about 2 years after that diagnosis. Stephen was born in Holyoke, MA to John H. & Marie A. (Wright) Korce. He attended Little Falls High School. Stephen spent the majority of his life in South Florida running heavy equipment. He retired in April of 2021 and moved back to the valley, to the home he and his son purchased together.
Stephen was a very strong- and strong-willed man. He wanted everything done a specific way, but he also played hard. It was very rare would he walk into a room and not joke to make everyone around him laugh and smile. He worked diligently to instill in his son the values he wanted (strong work ethic strong sense of pride do the best you can at everything you do in life.) He always did the best he could with what he had and always did what he could to better life for his son Stephen A. Korce II and his wife Jessica and his beloved granddaughter Layla Korce (his motivation for fighting so long). He joins a late grandson Stephen Korce III and is set to have another granddaughter in November he was trying to make it long enough to meet. Stephen is additional survived by his siblings and their families: his older brother Kevin Korce and younger siblings Jeff Korce, Dan Korce, Barb Korce, Vicky H. and Jack Korce.
Stephen's obituary was loving composed by his family.
In keeping with family wishes, Stephen's life will be celebrated in a private manner.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Enea Family Funeral Homes.
