Terry E. Moshier

Fort Plain/Herkimer, NY-Terry E. Moshier, age 42, of Herkimer, a Fort Plain native, lost his life in a paddle boat accident on July 4, 2017 in Little Falls. He was born on December 21, 1974 in Little Falls, NY son of Linda L. Smith and the late Harlan D. Moshier, Sr. and received his education in Dolgeville schools.  Terry loved people and being in the surroundings of family.  He was loved by everyone and had a wonderful sense of humor.  The safety and well-being of others always came before of his own.  In his spare time he enjoyed hiking, hanging out with friends and being outdoors.  He was a loving, caring and thoughtful individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his beloved family, his mother Linda L. Miller of Herkimer; brother, David W. Moshier of Herkimer; adopted brother, Harlen Moshier, Jr., sister, Angie (Ernest) Cook of Utica, sister, Debbie Moshier of Herkimer, sister, Judy Barnes of Dolgeville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan and brother, Shawn Michael Moshier; sister, Delores Perkov; step-fathers, Joseph Ernest, George Miller; a step brother, Joey Ernest and by his nephews who were very dear to him and with him on the day of his passing, Kevin Moake and Ryan Moake. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at Daniel J. Enea Funeral and Cremation Care, 5860 State Route 5 (near St. Mary’s Cemetery), between Little Falls and Herkimer, 315-508-5250 on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2-4 pm.  His funeral will commence at 4 pm on Saturday at Dan Enea’s funeral home location with Carolyn Fletcher, Funeral Celebrant, officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  The family would like to thank all of those involved in the recovery of their beloved Terry.  Those wishing to offer an online note of condolence, please click to the left.
