Thomas Vincent Checke

Herkimer, NY-Mr. Thomas Vincent Checke, 73, of Herkimer, passed away on Saturday December 7th, 2019, after a long battle with heart disease. Although Tom was never married, he made several friends everywhere he went and was loved by many. Tom was born in Staten Island, NY on June 26, 1946 and graduated from Port Richmond Schools in New Jersey. Tom worked various jobs growing up, but his main career was with the New Jersey Port Authority where he eventually retired. Tom loved driving and he loved working on classic cars. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Vincent Checke of New Jersey, whom he loved dearly. He leaves behind his good friend Shannon Marlowe of Ilion, his loving friends and neighbors from The Prospect Complex, Herkimer and all his buddies from the casino and other favorite food spots.
