Utica, NY/Little Falls, NY-Mr. Walter Potter, age 68, of Utica, formerly of W. Main St., Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, December 23, 2017. His passing occurred at the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford. Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5 (town of Manheim), between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131, has been entrusted with Mr. Potter's funeral arrangements. Survivors include his sister, Linda Potter of Utica and many friends including Tammy Bowman of Herkimer, Karen Benham of Ilion and his friends at the Mohawk American Legion. Mr. Potter proudly and honorably served our country during the Vietnam War with the US army enlisting in 1969 and was honorably discharged holding the rank of PFC on May 15, 1971. He was the recipient of he National Defense Service Medal and was a Marksman. Relatives and friends are invited to his military honors funeral commencing at 12:30 pm at the Saratoga Gerald B. Soloman National Cemetery, Schuylerville on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2017 where he will be laid to rest. The US army will offer military rites. Please offer condolences here.
