Wendy A. Cristman, age 72, a longtime resident of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Wendy was born on March 7th, 1952, the daughter of the late George E. and Elizabeth (Knop) McCaw, and was a graduate of Little Falls High School, "Class of 1970". Wendy married the love of her life, Edward R Cristman, on August 22nd, 1970, at St Mary’s Church in Little Falls and Wendy and Ed were happily married for 53 years thoroughly enjoying each other's company in their favorite pursuits of traveling, antiquing and beautifying their home on Loomis Street in Little Falls. Over the years, Wendy worked various jobs, but she found her last career as a Teacher’s Aide at Benton Hall Academy, the most rewarding. Wendy greatly cherished the time with her family, especially their summer trips to their favorite vacation spot, Cape Cod; as well as her and Ed’s time away in Vermont.
Wendy is survived by her devoted husband, Ed, her daughter, Paula (Patrick) Higgins, daughter, Kelly (Steven) Cristman, her sister, Cynthia (Joe) McCaw, brother, Todd (Cyndie) McCaw and her precious grandson, Aidan (Jennifer) Higgins, along with many nieces and nephews. Wendy was predeceased by her parents, George and Elizabeth McCaw, and her brother, George A McCaw.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, Little Falls, on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 4 to 6 PM with funeral services commencing at 6 pm also on Monday, from the chapel of MVFC with The Reverend Joseph Famulare, officiating.
